A Novel Idea for Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner. What will you give the ones you love?

Here’s a novel idea! Since Christmas is all about Jesus, why not give gifts that also are a gift to Him?

After all, He created us for His glory, to know Him, to love Him, and to share His love with others. So, why not give as gifts to the people you love books that bring that purpose back into focus?

And since we’re talking about “novel ideas” …

Here are two Pure-As-Gold Seal novels, packed with truth, to help young people know who they are in Christ, learn to listen to His leading, and break free from pride, fear and other strongholds. It’s a fun, action-packed fantasy adventure about friendship, following the King and the danger of falling to lies.

Chronicles of the Kingdom of Light

Rescue from Darkness, Book 1: Chronicles of the Kingdom of Light
Sands of Surrender, Book 2: Chronicles of the Kingdom of Light

“We just finished reading the Narnia series, and then we started reading the Chronicles of the Kingdom of LightThe spiritual meaning is so much clearer in Rescue from Darkness, and has given us much to talk about. My children are drawing closer to the Lord and stronger in their faith through reading your novel. We can’t wait to read Sands of Surrender!”  (Ingrid, children ages 10-12)

“I just finished Rescue from Darkness. Today, I talked to Jesus all day long just like Victoria. And He answered me!” (Charis, age 14)

“Recently I read the Chronicles of the Kingdom of Light and my husband has noticed a difference and has encouraged me to read more books by the author. This is the first time that he has seen so much fruit in me so quickly as a result of reading books and so, based on his response, Rescue from Darkness and Sands of Surrender are my all-time favorite books. And yes, I know that they’re written for kids!” (Ruth H, mother)

Snatched from their summer fun by a sudden tragedy, six friends loyal to the King of Light embark upon an unforgettable adventure into the Kingdom of Darkness to rescue a young boy held hostage by evil creatures. Astride such mystical mounts as a winged tiger, a flying unicorn, and a giant cobra, these ordinary young people engage in an extraordinary battle against dragons and monsters that will cost them more than they counted on. Based on bedtime stories created by author Mikaela Vincent to help her children live who they are in Christ, Chronicles of the Kingdom of Light is an inspirational allegory filled with adventure, humor, and some truths that just might change your life. These first two books, Rescue from Darkness and Sands of Surrender, as well as other Pure-As-Gold Seal books for youth and children are available at MoreThanAConquerorBooks.com.

Forgive us, O God, and heal us.

This present darkness comes as no surprise to the Lord. 2 Timothy 3:1-5. It is not much different than in ages gone, when we deserted our purpose in the Lord to run after other gods. Those idols still call to us today … pride, hatred, slander, violence, prejudice, lust, terror, dissension, unforgiveness, bitterness, selfishness, destruction, murder, infidelity….

We have long been a rebellious people, choosing the dung of demons over surrender to our Sovereign.

It’s time now for God’s people to rise up and stand. For our love to be loud. For us to press Christ’s light into the darkness, offering love, peace, hope, and healing. For even before any of this evil began, God already had in place a plan to bring forth good, to draw all men unto Himself … including us.

So, let us join together with Him as one, and intercede for this nation, that He may yet have mercy on us and heal us….

Forgive us, Father, for our sins are great. Bind up the broken and draw us into Your love, lest the wounded of today become the destroyers of tomorrow. Bring to justice the murderers and abusers. Free each of us from the clutches of the enemy, O Father. Have mercy on us, and offer us Your gift of salvation in a way we can’t refuse. Tenderize our hearts and draw us into Your love and grace. Tear down our idols. Set us free from their chains. Rebuild within us a temple of honor to the One True God — the God of Love. Be to us as You were to Paul, throwing us from our high horses that persecute others to flatten us on our faces before You. For we have long been blind, O God, to the purposes You created us for — not to harm, but to love, even as You first loved us and gave Your life as an atonement for our sins. John 3:16, 5:19, 15:9-12.

Lord, we acknowledge we are nothing without You. We need You. But for Your grace, we would all be the vilest of offenders. But now, O God, raise up Your people as beacons of light in the darkness, holding out Your truth as a testimony of how abundant life can truly be in Christ. Philippians 2:12-16, John 10:10. Heal our marriages. Bind our children to Yourself. Pull your church together in unity and peace. Show us how to override curses with blessings, and wrongs with acts of righteousness. Teach us how to love as You love.

Give us kind and tender hearts, filled with brokenness for our sin. Where we have wronged others, Lord, give us courage and humility to ask forgiveness. Set us as upright pillars in the midst of this society that has fallen apart. As we stand for Love, may others answer the call to stand alongside us. May they see Your light in us, seek You with all their hearts, and find You. Jeremiah 29:11-13.

When we cry out to You, hear us, and heal us. Rebuild this country, O God. Tear down what the enemy has established. Set upright all that he has set askew. Take back what he has stolen. And sweep away every idol in a flood of Your love, grace, and miracles. Show Yourself strong, O God, in the sight of every man, woman, and child. Pierce our hearts with true fear of the Lord, that we may gaze upon Your glory, and be changed. For there is no one like You. You alone are God. And You alone are Good. Let us walk in Your goodness, in step with Your Spirit, empowered by Your love, cleansed and renewed by Your grace. Galatians 5:22-25. Let us shine like stars in the universe, as we hold out Your Good News for all to see. Philippians 2:12-16, Daniel 12:3. May our lives reflect the beauty of Your love in all we do. 1 Corinthians 16:14.

Awaken us, O God, and renew us. Have mercy on us, and rescue us. For we need You now more than ever.

In Your name. Amen.
